       Hi all! My name is Ana Ruiz Alonso-Bartol. I am from Salamanca, a beautiful small city in Spain, where I got my BA in French & English Translation/Interpreting. My love of languages took me across Europe and then across the pond to get an MA in Spanish & TESOL at West Virginia University. After teaching in different states around the US, I came to wonderful Davis to pursue a PhD in Spanish Linguistics & Second Language Acquisition --still a work in progress! When I'm not teaching, you can probably find me crafting, "picnic-ing" with friends at Central Park or the Arboretum, or traveling to explore South America's amazing diversity :)
